Wheelchair Access Vehicles
The mobility coaches take all the hassle out of travelling in a wheelchair. There is no fuss, no complication, no undignified manoeuvring. In seconds, the powerful integral chairlift extends from the back of the coach and whisks wheelchair users up and into the coach. Wheelchairs are then secured in place with the latest safety restraints.

This coach can be adaptable from 29 seats to 20 seats with wheelchairs fitted  This coach can be adaptable from 16 seats to 10 seats with wheelchairs fitted

 These coaches offer the same level of comfort and convenience to passengers in wheelchairs as enjoyed by able-bodied passengers, although it looks exactly the same from the outside as all our other coaches. It offers a flexible mix of standard reclining seats and up to 2-3 wheelchair spaces inside. After sliding the lift out of its compartment the operator then unfolds the safety rails and the lift can then either be lowered to street level or raised level with the floor of the coach. Whilst the lift is in motion there are safety guards that raise automatically at either end of the platform, which turn into ramps, when they touch either the ground or the floor of the coach. Both vehicles are fitted with large area panoramic windows for better viewing.

Whilst the lift is designed for wheelchair use it can also be used to lift able-bodied passengers who have difficulty with the main entrance steps. Once inside the coach there is a completely flat floor to enable easy manoeuvring and parking of wheelchairs and also nothing for helpers or able bodied passengers to trip or fall on. The wheelchairs are fixed to the floor of the coaches using the latest quick-release clamps which together with the quick operation of the lift itself means that wheelchair users can board the coaches and be securely fastened in, in a very short time. All of our Drivers have been specially trained to use both the lift, the clamps for the wheelchairs. The Coaches is regularly booked by local Groups and Organisations who welcome its many capabilities. A flexible mix of standard reclining seating (10 or 20 seats) and wheelchair places (2-3). The Integral Lift extends from the coach and elevates wheelchair users up and into the coach without fuss, hassle or undignified manoeuvring, where their wheelchairs are secured in place with the latest safety restraints.  

The Mobility coaches is already proving popular, as travel organisers from many different sectors start to take advantage of its capabilities.
